I’m a retired Systems Engineer.

I have an honours degree (BSc) in Operational Research & Computing and have spent most of my working life in IT.

My main interests:-

• Archery (mostly the English longbow these days)
• Backgammon
• Flying (particularly aerobatics in a Slingsby T67M)
• IT (still like to “keep my hand in”)
• Slide rules (I use one almost daily - it’s on my watch!)
• Watercolour painting

I use the following systems:-

• Laptop - FreeBSD + XFCE + i3
• Desktops - FreeBSD + i3
• Home server - FreeBSD + Bhyve for VMs
• Playground/lab - Arduino, Raspberry Pi
