Oh Damon, what have you done!?
After commenting on Max Verstappen’s driving standards.
Yep, he’s still racing (if that’s what you want to call it). Honestly he has threatened to quit so many times he has lost all credibility.
So, now his (recent) antics has earnt him a reputation as being unsportsmanlike. The fact of the matter is that he has always been dirty with his driving – but just been allowed to get away with it.
The governing body should have stamped out his antisocial driving long ago, but they didn’t so it has kind of become “normal”.
The problem is (of course) that motor sport is an inherently dangerous activity and the last thing we need is a red-mist, it’s never my fault, mentality of a yob on the race track. Someone is going to get hurt, or worse killed.
Grow up Verstappen, before someone gets hurt!!
The really sad thing about all this is that he doesn’t need to resort to any under-handed driving to win - his raw talent is that great!
So why do it!?
On a lighter note, Wacky Races was one of my favourite cartoons when I was a kid, and Dick Dastardly and his side kick Muttley my favourite characters.
This has been like going down memory lane, watching Wacky Races on the Internet – great fun!
But now, thanks to Damon Hill, all I can hear in my head are the Wacky Races tunes and lines when reading or watching anything to do with F1.
Upon reading the initial article above, I couldn’t resist messaging my brother on who he thought Muttley would be?
He replied HORNER! (with a lot of laughter emojis)
In future I will refer to F1 as the Wacky Races.
Damon, how could you!
This is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny, I can’t stop laughing!
